"in transit" is a 2002 release by the New York band Gutterstar.
The band is proficient with their instruments.
Songs like "asleep" show Gutterstar's ability to create moving melodies.
The CD offers more than one sound throughout.
The songs offer music that is complex.

"Jadestone" is a rock band from Florida.
The Jadestone website is simplistic in design.
It mimics the cover art of their album.
It works to give people information about the band, but is a little to stripped down to give the user a reason to return.

"United" is a alternative rock band from Atlanta, Ga.
The United site has a very clean and fresh design.
They used Flash to give it a more interactive quality.
Overall the site is quite effective in marketing the band on the web.

"L.P. NO. 1" is a 2002 release by the California Alternative band Avelar.
This is an interesting album.
On first play I thought it was poor quality, and basically not very good.
One song had caught my attention though, "x - y = z".
So I decided to have a second listen while reading the lyrics.
As I read and listened the power of the music was revealed.
The songs are tied to the lyrics and really convey what is being said.

"Crush" is a 2002 release by the Atlanta, Georgia heavy hitting band Transmission.
This CD shows how polished and defined Transmission's music is.
The music is very passionate, but calculated.
"Crush" raises the bar for independent CD releases.

"Crazy Palm Mute" is a 2002 release by the Panama City, Florida alt/rock band Hand Honey.
I have to say I was surprised by the musical dynamics of the CD.
Hand Honey creates a melodic sound while not compromising the aggressive aspect of their music.
Their music would be in the same catagory as Incubus and 3 Doors Down, but with their own unique style.

Army of Me is an alternative rock band from Washington D.C.
The Army of Me band site has a simple design.
You are not greeted by any splash screens or crazy things flying around.
The site is just what it is, an information site about the band.
